It was overcast and a bit chilly all day today but it's better than 90+ degree heat so this is more of an observation, not a complaint. As you will have no doubt noticed, many of my subjects are discovered while walking the dogs and this one is no exception. I was drawn in by the warm yellow/orange color of the flowers, just the sight of them took the chill off the air.

People often describe greyhounds as "couch potatoes" but I think that term has too many negative connotations in a country that is primarily overweight. These dogs are nothing of the sort, I prefer to think of them as "upholstery slugs" and today Johan discovered how to get up on the furniture. Hooray, now all three of my greyhounds are officially upholstery slugs!
