To my perception the unusually cool summer has left much of the flora confused. The dahlias are already blooming and it seems to me that they are more of a late summer flower. It isn't as though we've have an early summer, the opposite in fact, but whatever it is I like our Pacific Northwest weather better that what I am enduring in California. My sister is getting married this weekend and the heat that I'm experiencing here is a good reminder why I fled to Oregon!
