2013, Day 231 - Seeded

I rarely get a chance to look at sunflowers when they are at this stage.  The petals of the flower are withering and but the seeds aren't yet ripe and the florets are blooming.  It's actually really pretty because there is still a lot of life in this flower even though it looks haggard from a distance.  I suppose everything deserves a closer look.
