2014, Day 340 - Color wash

As the sun set over the river the clouds were hit with a burst of gold in contrast with the fading blue of the evening sky.  It lasted only a few minutes so you only get a brief window to frame your photograph.  Some people might have tried to rush to a landmark to incorporate into the skyline but that is such a risk and with the color and clouds so vibrant it really wasn't necessary.
