2010, Day 164 - Red Egg and grubs

Today was Onion's (my nephew) Red Egg and Ginger party. It's a Chinese thing where the child is introduced to the family.

2010, Day 163 - Darth Muppet

This is Charlie, my sister Laura's dog. He's a cocker spaniel-poodle mix that she very luckily scored from the local shelter. This dog is very sweet, extremely well-behaved and looks like a muppet.

2010, Day 162 - Greyhound Gardens

Today was a travel day and on my way south to visit family in California I stopped off at my friend Terri's house to visit Greyhound Gardens. She and her partner Karen are totally crazy greyhound people and I've known them for almost seven years. Many of their hounds are special to me and I was able to meed the newest members of their pack.

Tomorrow is a travel day for me so I had to get my photo done early and this interesting plant jumped out at me when I was walking the dogs earlier today. I don't know what it is but I like the structure, the veins and the depth of the shadows...

2010, Day 160 - Art eats art

A friend of mine is a painted and former Air Force Officer. With that being the case his favorite subjects are aeronautical and historically significant. This is his most recent work, two spy planes, one manned and the other unmanned. He asked me to photograph it for reproduction and this is the result.

2010, Day 159 - Linzmeier farm

A few short months ago I helped my friend Jared and Deanna to purchase a nice home on a few acres in Estacada. They've taken to country life quickly and have chickens, goats, greyhounds, cats and a nice vegetable garden. I went out to visit them for the first time since helping them to move and it was a lot of fun. Animals everywhere and good company!
