2010, Day 158 - Bananas, attack!

As I've made mention of many times, we've had a long, cold, wet spring this year. In fact today was the nicest day we've had in over a month in Portland. When the dogwood trees began to bloom weeks and months ago I eagerly awaited the blossoming of the tree outside my bay window but it never came. I had given up hope thinking that the odd weather had destroyed the buds but then just days ago I noticed the flowers and today I decided to share them (and a couple pictures of Hubert who was modeling for me this morning).

2010, Day 155 - Heiser hounds

A couple days ago my buddy Stacey asked if I would take a picture of him for some work related thing. Seeing as I have this project going it seemed like a good opportunity to do a favor for a friend and to get my photo of the day done as well. After taking the obligatory mugshot he decided he needed a picture with, not his wife, but their puppy Sprout. What I like about that photo is he looks more eager and excited than the puppy, something of a role reversal. After we did that a couple of the greyhounds got their pictures taken too. Penny wasn't a big fan of the flash but Luke wasn't phased at all and Red had no interest in having her picture taken.

2010, Day 154 - Toe-ectomy

Yup, you read that right, toe-ectomy. Poor Hubert has been having trouble with a toe for months, every time it starts feeling better it flares up again so after consulting with his doctor we decided it was time to say goodbye to the offending digit. Yesterday he went in and they kept him overnight to change his bandaging so I was able to pick him up this morning. I had hoped that it would stop raining so I wouldn't have to bag his bandaged foot for every outing but I guess that's a dream that isn't going to come true. Can you see his red-wrapped foot in the picture?

Hubert requests that instead of sending flowers that you spread a little mayhem until his back on all four feet!
