2012, Day 273 - Ninja

This little guy is an assassin bug.  He has a long rostrum that he uses to find the weaknesses in the exoskeletons of other insects.  Once driven through their armor he injects his saliva that starts the digestion process.  As the insides of their prey turns to liquid the assassin bug then sucks out the contents leaving an empty carcass.  This system of feeding allows these insects to feed on prey much larger than themselves.
