2014, Day 344 - Divot

I love images that have texture and this leaf and the drop of water in the center have such an interesting contrast in texture.  One is dull and rough while the other is smooth and shiny.  It is the fine hairs on the leaf that make the water bead up and roll across the surface.

2014, Day 330 - Pristine

I am on a mission to bring container gardens to every home!  Okay, that is probably a crazy statement but would like to see it happen.  One of the things I loved about Thailand is that almost every home and business has a water garden out front.  Most are small and have a water lily and a few guppies but others are much larger and have lotuses and larger fish.  They are quite literally everywhere in Thailand and I want them to be everywhere in Portland too!

2014, Day 182 - Porcelain

Water lilies have an ethereal quality to them; perfect blossoms riding on a tranquil pool, isolated and beautiful.  When they die they return to the water and there is no evidence they ever existed.

2014, Day 64 - Sunburst

When I see flowers I think of spring and sunshine and warmth.  The longer I look the warmer I feel and the warmer I feel the more I relax.  Maybe I should try looking at pictures of flowers immediately before going to bed so I could fall asleep more quickly.  I may give it a try...
