It was a balmy day, in the mid-sixties, and after stopping by the office this morning I parked the car, braved the crowds and took a little hike in Washington Park. Unfortunately my curiosity got the best of me and after deciding to take the small side trails time after time I found myself deposited on Burnside with a hike back to the car along the road. "Why along the road?" you ask. Because these little side trails were quite steep and trees and brush were necessary breaks as I descended to climbing the slick trails from yesterday's rain just wasn't appealing.
