2013, Day 166 - Hitchhiker

Flowers are, by themselves, little works of art.  Still, it can be hard to make them an engaging subject because we look at them all the time.  You explore from every angle and maybe you find one that works.  From this I liked the two buds behind that flank and frame the subject flower.  I even like the little aphid-like insect on the side of the blossom.  It might have been nice if he were facing the camera but I think it doesn't hurt the composition at all.
