2010, Day 136 - Farm fresh

Yesterday the weather was beautiful, it was sunny and warm (but not too warm) and just about perfect. This morning it was overcast and raining, basically, it was Portland again. But the people in the Pacific NW are used to a little wet weather and today was the start of the season at the Milwaukie Farmers Market. There was a lot of fresh produce, meat from small sustainable farms, Oregon shellfish, wild mushrooms, local ice cream, and tons of plants and flowers. Add to that a scattering of musicians and it make for a pleasant morning and while it is a relatively small farmers market there is something for everyone. I came home with some very nice and extremely fresh goat cheese infused with peppers and garlic.
