2013, Day 76 - Magic monkey

Today was the first day of racing this year and both Frankie and I were very excited.  When we arrived he bounced happily and greeted all his old friends and made a bunch of new ones.  Unfortunately his enthusiasm was not matched by his ability.  To put it succinctly, he was a hot mess.  Instead of keeping his head down Frankie bounced around the track.  I think he was more interested in putting on a show than in the competition but as he walked to the starting boxes for each race he was so excited.  The funny thing is I love him all the more for having so much fun despite the fact that he didn't just lose each race, he came in dead last.  Right now he is totally passed out, exhausted from all the fun he had today :)
