2014, Day 187 - Crown

The relentless warmth of summer is upon us and I dislike it already.  It takes months for me to weary of the rain but only a day to remind me why I find the heat so abominable.  While nothing compared to other climates we get humid, the world is sticky in short order, and one sweats constantly in a vain effort to keep cool.  Constantly we're told that air conditioning is a decadent luxury that won't see much use but that comes as little comfort when you're sweating into your pillow.  I often think that a hammock would be the best way to cope with the heat but it seems an extreme and unnecessary step but one that comes back to me every summer.
