2014, Day 196 - Alert

My sweet old man Stubbs has a wonky ear.  Both will stand straight up when he is watchful or excited but one usually rests upwards too.  He's getting older and these hot days are tough on him, it is harder to keep cool and comfortable but I do what I can to make it more bearable.  I forget sometimes that I've had him for about eight years now and when I brought him home he was a youngster.  Much more nervous than he is now although he still shies away from strangers he's become so comfortable that he plays more than the other three dogs combined and sometimes pounces on the vacuum cleaner just to teach it a lesson.  He's a wonderful sweet dopey old man.
