It is dahlia season here in the Pacific NW and they are popping up all over the place. I haven't made my annual trip to Old House Dahlias yet but my neighbors have a nice variety blooming now. There is almost a sense of motion, like you can see the petals opening up right before your eyes. The colors are so clean and pure, it is a nice break from the other flowers that are wilting around them.
