2012, Day 216 - Tattered

I thought that today I could use a change of pace, photographically speaking.  This is the old peeling paint on the side of Centennial Mills, a moldering ruin of the building on the waterfront in NW Portland.  The site is mired in controversy and while it was once hoped that it could be rehabilitated into something new every project has failed to survive its own infancy.  So it sits, neglected and in danger of collapsing on any who dare enter, with the hope that some kind of resolution will lead to a phoenix-like rebirth.
