Another racing day for Frankie and this time he had the opportunity to work out his excitement days before the main event. The difference was noticeable, he ran much better and was less distracted by all his friends.
He was in the first race of the day with the other novice dogs and while other siblings played he went straight for the lure. With the chaos of play on the field he almost caught the lure and took a dive but got right back up and went on to finish the race well ahead of the rest of the field.
That win was probably not a great thing because in the next program he was up against some really fast and experienced dogs. Still, he ran hard and made a good showing of himself despite bringing up the rear. All he really knows is that he had a great time playing with his buddies and even though he had a grass stain on the side of his face within seconds of starting the first race he was eager to get back out there and run!
