The forecast is calling for an increase in the daily highs and that is not something that I welcome. I've enjoyed our mild summer with cool mornings and don't care to see the temperature spike to the nineties. Instead I will happily reflect on the winter weather, the bare trees, the cool breezes, the crocuses peeking out from the leaf litter. There is a calmness about winter, people stay in their homes while the earth slumbers and those of us outside get a little more privacy. The nights are quiet as people seek out of warmth of their homes instead of late night adventures and peace blankets my neighborhood more often than snow. I am looking forward to another quiet winter.
